Payroll compliance

Tax authority compliance, social security reporting, pension fund administration, and CAO-mandated pay scale adherence.

Payroll compliance management

Payroll compliance in the Netherlands extends beyond accurate salary calculations. The Belastingdienst requires precise reporting of employment relationships, the UWV monitors social security contributions and benefit claims, and pension funds enforce contribution schedules and eligibility rules. Where a collective labour agreement (CAO) applies, employers must additionally adhere to prescribed pay scales, annual increases, and allowance structures that override individual contract terms.

Octagon monitors all regulatory changes that affect your Dutch payroll and implements updates before they take effect. We manage the annual minimum wage adjustments (twice yearly), social security premium rate changes, tax table updates, and pension contribution revisions. For companies subject to a CAO, we ensure pay scale compliance, track mandatory general wage increases, and calculate allowances such as shift premiums and travel reimbursements according to the applicable agreement.
