Placement stories

From first conversation to on-site

What Octagon handled at each stage of the placement journey.

Aerospace

Propulsion Systems Engineer — ESA

A propulsion engineer with twelve years in industry moved from a national programme to ESTEC in Noordwijk. Octagon filed the 30% ruling, arranged IND Recognised Sponsor visa sponsorship, made the housing introductions, and walked the candidate through the BSN and DigiD steps to complete with the Dutch authorities. The engineer started on site within six weeks of the initial conversation.

International organisations

Legal Counsel — OPCW

A legal specialist with a background in international law joined OPCW in The Hague under a commercial employment contract with Octagon. Octagon handled the host-state agreement nuances, coordinated the security-clearance workflow with the hiring organisation, and provided a single named contact through month eighteen.

Tech and innovation

Swisscom relocation programme — six engineers

Over the course of a Swisscom relocation programme, Octagon placed six engineers from three countries into Netherlands-based roles. Each placement involved a Dutch employment contract and 30% ruling filings for qualifying hires. On the relocation side, Octagon made the housing and banking introductions and lined up school shortlists for candidates with families, and walked each engineer through the BSN and DigiD steps they completed with the Dutch authorities themselves.

How we work

The candidate experience Octagon has defended since 1987: a real employment contract, a named contact for the full engagement, no third-party passthrough.
